Learn the intricacies of turning clay into ceramics and why it is important in the modern day, in this beginner level class. Over the course of 4 weeks, you will learn various hand building techniques and use of professional equipment to create functional boxes, vessels, and pots from greenware, to glazed and fired artworks.

Week 1+2: We will be throwing vessels on which we will be applying various surface textures and handles to. Week 3: will be spent refining and trimming our pieces . Week 4: After bisque firing, we will glaze our pieces to be glaze fired. Pick-up date will be scheduled after week 4 is completed.

Come and share 2 pages of your favorite book by reading it aloud to others - who likewise have a favorite book to share with you. Musicians are invited to share 1 song, either original or artistic interpretations of covers.

Reading aloud is a basic ways for a society to pass along the lore of its community, and to socialize the next generation. It transcends generational differences and offers public speaking experience with great personal benefits. By asking people to share a couple pages of their favorite book, there’s no need to fear censoring participants as they are invited to share what is the best of themselves.

Come and explore watercolor! Watercolor has an undeserved reputation for being a difficult medium. But if you learn the proper techniques as a basic foundation, the opportunities to explore and enjoy it are boundless! The instructor will demo several times each class, and the pace is relaxed and enjoyable. Towards the end of the session, you will be able to paint complete paintings.
